Facebook has removed the ability to customise link attachments on their posts. This means that in your Boma campaigns posted to Facebook, viewers will only see the image from the page you are sharing as opposed to the one selected in Boma.
From the official Facebook announcement: As part of our continuing efforts to stop the spread of misinformation and false news on our platform, we’re removing the ability for any Page to edit how a link appears on Facebook.
When you post to Facebook and include a URL, Facebook will take the image from the web page that you share.
This means that if you change the image, the URL must be included in the comment at the top of the post.
To date, BOMA has provided a ‘work around’ by automatically putting the URL link into the post comment when the image is changed.
BOMA is about to release an update in the platform that will make this clearer and resolve the issue.
